Chota Late Season Assam
In the tea world there is always excitement and majesty attached to good autumnal Darjeeling. Sadly late season Assam gets far less press. This is an organic cracker from Chota Tingrai. Large, golden tipped leaves which deserve far more descriptive than simply the tags of malty and sweet that accompany many teas from this region. This tea has a depth and subtlety to its layers of flavour comparable to any of its cousins from higher elevations. A lovely brew, thick and amber in the cup with stonefruit type edge to a muscatel palate.
