Honeybush or Heuningbos is a South African native plant and technically classed as a legume. It makes a sweeter and more decadent tea than Rooibos with a less earthy taste. Like Rooibos the lack of caffeine and tannin makes it a popular tea alternative and the beautiful smell of the honey like brew is sometimes used in South Africa to scent the house.
